Description

K2 Plus – PTFE Coupler Adapter

This adapter is designed for users whose original PTFE coupler ring has already broken, or for those who want to keep a reliable spare part on hand.

Assembly

The cover is mounted directly onto the extruder.
Replace the original screws with two M3x30 screws.

For the version with the side support (“foot”), an additional screw is required
(length not yet finalized, as this version has not been fully tested).

PTFE Coupler Requirements

The PTFE coupler should have:

  • 9 mm thread
  • 4 mm inner diameter (through-hole)

This ensures that the PTFE tube can be inserted fully up to the extruder stop.

Installation Notes

  • The original coupler does not need to be removed
  • Make sure no broken ring parts remain inside the extruder
  • Check the cutter magnet, as it may attract and hold debris

Important Information

Using the correct material is critical due to the high temperatures near the extruder.

  • Recommended: PCTG, ABS, ASA or similar heat-resistant materials
  • Do NOT use PLA – it may soften or deform under heat

Change Log

  • Updated version by Patricki7 (thanks again!)
    • Extended upper section
    • Added chamfer to reduce the risk of breaking when installing the coupler
