D6x2 mm Round Magnet (20PCS) - CA004

Description

Please be gentle - it's my first time!

I searched for Gridfinty bins with labels and found some good stuff, but nothing that quite fit my needs. After days of searching, trying different prints, and exploring other people's designs, I finally decided to just do it myself.

  • Bins are 1x1x4 GFu, perfect for smaller screws, nuts and bolts.

  • They are built for 6x2mm magnets and accommodate Click-Labels (as intended by Gridfinity Extended).

  • The 3mf package includes a starter pack of labels for M3-M6 bolts, nuts, flat washers, and lock washers. There are also some test strips to experiment with different font sizes using Bambu Studio.

  • Labels support AMS multicolor. I'm basic, so I just made white bins with black labels.

  • Labels can be removed and reused.  They are also fully customizable

  • Clicky Label tabs are inspired by the work done by @Cullen J Webb on his super slick Cullenect Swappable Labels for Gridfinity and More. The main issue I had with those labels were they did not have cross-compatibility with the Standard Gridfinity Extended bins, and I couldn't get my 6x2mm magnets to work with his pressure-fit inserts (almost certainly user error!)

  • Labels click nicely into place and can be easily removed using a small standard screwdriver. I printed everything in a Stock BBL P1S (0.4mm) using Sunlu PLA Plus. With the minimal thickness of the label plates, I highly recommend making certain your filament is dry, your heat bed settings are optimal for your material, and waiting for the plate to cool a bit before removing the labels to prevent warping.

  • These labels fit perflectly flush* with the Gridfinity Extended Bins, and have a minimal perimeter gap for a really clean finished look.

*I noticed that sometimes the labels don't click nicely in all three positions. This seems to be due to imperfections in the print surface under the “lip" on the bottom side of the label. I was able to resolve this by running a small standard screwdriver down each gap a few times to smooth out the surface and things started snapping together properly.

These bins are based on the amazing Gridfinity Configurator by Perplexing Labs using the Gridfinity Extended Basic Bin Preset. All original design credit goes to Zack Freedman and his original Gridfinity Concept.
