A1 Series Horizontal Filament Feeder

This is a horizontally oriented filament enclosure, drawing inspiration from several accomplished designers. An STP file is provided; modify the engraved text as needed.

Due to a redesign of my enclosure using aluminum extrusions, incorporating the filament enclosure, to avoid its redundancy, it has been repurposed as a toolbox. Additional tool storage compartments have been added. Should you require it, I can customize tool storage compartments for you.

Required components:

1. Over 3.5 meters of 3mm wide, 2mm thick sealing strip;

2. For enclosure assembly: 8 x M2 x 6mm screws, 8 x M2 nuts, 8 x M4 x 7mm screws, 8 x M4 nuts;

3. For drawer handles: 8 x M3 x 10mm or longer self-tapping screws;

4. 2.5 x 4mm PTFE tubing, 3m or more in length—purchase based on your specific requirements;

5. Sufficient quantity of AB adhesive;

6. PC board: 8mm or thicker recommended; model dimensions are 456 x 458mm; measure after assembly for accurate dimensions. Mine warped during printing; I purchased a 455 x 458 x 8mm piece;
