Mr. Shaky Paint Bottle Mixer

Electric Hand Drill Operated Paint Bottle Mixer      “Mr. Shaky” 

Greetings All,

I was inspired by A@_dESING's Paint shaker design but I wanted to make a number of changes. 

1. A replaceable drill stem.
2. Adapt it for other paint bottles
3. Add a 3mm eccentric for enhanced vibratory mixing. 

Please Note that there are multiple versions of the paint holder but they all use the same common top and stem

Holder V2A	20 ml (.7 oz) “Vallejo” paint bottles
Holder V2B	59 ml (2oz) Craft paint bottles
“Holder V2C	200 ml (6.76 oz) “Vallejo” bottles
Holder V2D	Testors 7.4 ml (.25 oz) bottles
Holder V2E	Tamiya 10 ml bottles
Holder V2F	Tamiya 23 ml bottles

You may also notice that the drill stem is not a hex but an Equilateral Triangle. I did this because most hand drills have 3 jaw chucks and by using a triangle instead of hex i was able to maximize the cross-section of the stem for added strength.

Printing Info:

• I would recommend that the stem be printed in PETG with 6 walls, .1 layer height,  and 50%  gyroid infill laying down as shown. I did try it with PLA and it worked fine but the PETG version gave me more confidence.
   

  

• The reminder of the parts can be printed in PLA, 3 walls, .2 layer height, and 15% gyroid infill. No supports needed.

Public Service Announcements:

• It helps to very the drill speed, change the ordination of the mixer (vertical to horizontal), and add a small stainless steel ball bearing (or a hex nut) in the bottles to help in the mixing process.
   
• ALWAYS check the seal on your paint bottle before using “Mr. Shaky”
   
• Spin clockwise like the top shows.

If you have a unique bottle size, supply a drawing with dimensions  and when time allows I will add it.
