Description
Throwable fighter jet that throws and flies just like a paper airplane! This model specializes in gliding from heights! The model is meant to be flown without the engines on. The engines easily snap in and out of place making a fast transition from display to play.
With this model, I wanted to create something that could look appealing as a display piece but also make a fun toy. This model is very good at gliding from high distances. You are also able to use this model like a paper airplane, though it might take a while to get a good technique. Tips on throwing the jet are found below. Good luck and happy flying!
More tips on throwing the jet:
- Hold the jet as I did in the second picture
- Have a slightly upward angle of release
- Find a good medium for the force at which you release it with. Too slow and it will nose dive, too fast and you will have no control.
- Ensure that the wings are level at the time of release. If they are not, the jet will not go straight.
- Modifying the print profile might change the center of mass and might require a different technique
- It might take a bit before you find what works, keep trying and it will work well
