Description

Industrial Pipe shelf

I designed a shelf using 3D printed industrial pipes to replace expensive iron ones.
The pipes are 3/4" in size, keeping the industrial look while being fully customizable.

📓Notes:

  1. The print settings use Fuzzy Skin to mimic the texture of an iron pipe, but feel free to disable this option if you prefer.
  2. The pipes are printed horizontally for added strength, but if durability isn’t a concern, you can print them vertically.
  3. The valve model is from Valve logo fridge magnet (by bigovereasy) and added the thread on it. 
    PS: The model with thread I posted it in the original post.

  1. 🚨The female threads you can print without supports, then you probably see these travel lines
     

    that's is totally ok, I didn't have any issues with this.

     

  2. 🚨 But if you print with support you can simply unscrew it 

     

  3. 🚨I don't know if these pipes brackets are too strong, then I added some extra metal shelf brackets to make the shelf stronger. 

    After installed them, I could see the shelf is way more reliable.

 

 

Materials

  • Wood → 1 inch x 12 inch x 8 ft. Laminated Whitewood Panels [Link]

    👉 I reduced the depth of the wood to 20cm

    Then I made some holes (32mm)

    to pass the pipe through it

     

  • Screws → #8 x 3/4-inch Flat Head Square Drive Wood Screws - Brass [Link]
  • Corner Brace → 1-1/2" Corner Brace, Zinc-Plated, 4pc [Link]

  • #6 x 1-1/4-inch Flat Head Phillips Drive Coarse Thread Drywall Screws → [Link]
