Fourth Wing Dragon Book Nook & Display NON AMS

Update:

31/01/25 - Added a revised stand that is suitable for printing on the A1 Mini. This stand does not feature the T piece grab to protect from falling but has been designed to be thicker and have more face contact on the books. This results in that the model does not want to tip as much as the original stand.

The original stand has the dragons stick further out from the shelf by around 40mm, please refer to pictures and determine which stand displays the model aligned based on your preference. 

Features, dimensions & assembly

This model depicts a silhouette of the two dragons Tairn & Andarna that can be displayed on your book shelf between two books. 

The dimensions of the silhouette dragons are 209 x 5 x 164.5mm (LxWxH), the stand allows this model to be suspended 50mm above the shelf height.

Tairn & Adarna features push to fit fittings to connect the dragons to each other and to the stand. The stand also offers an optional T piece to ‘grab’  the back of the books on the shelf to prevent falling that is also push to fit. Please note, that it is a tight tolerance for push to fit fittings, some manual intervention may be required. 

Additionally, whilst glue is not required for assembly it is recommended to prevent unexpected failure. 

The stand must be sandwiched between two books as the weight of the model will cause the stand to tip up. 

Printing

As pictured, I have printed Tairn & the stand in Bambu PLA Black & Adarna Elegoo PLA Silk Gold. 

This print is a very easy print with most all items being printed flat onto the build plate. The print profile features two plates setup to prevent wastage from AMS colour change and this model is a non AMS required model :)

There are three print profiles to choose from. If you have A mii, then please use the A1 mini print profile. If you have a printer with a larger build plate then please select either large or small stand :)
