Description

This is an insert for Everdell Boardgame by Starling Games

Box 1:
This box contains most of the cards, resources and some of the materials that are used on the table during the game. I used the main game box for this (inside height 69mm).

Card Trays
The long card tray can be flexibly subdivided using the movable dividers. Depending on which expansions you prefer to play with you can conveniently store your deck for quick setup. The short card tray holds other cards, such as the legends or the cards for the Spirecrest expansion. There is also room for the events and the Newleaf velvet bag, including the train car tiles.

Frames for 3D Materials
There are two frames in the centre that hold all the assembled Wonders and Open Signs. The 3D materials sometimes slide under the frames. If necessary, you can attach them to the box with double-sided adhesive tape.

Clipboard
The clipboard replaces the scoring pad, which unfortunately cannot be purchased separately from the complete collection in the German edition. I think the look captures the flair of a receipt pad from a small corner store quite well. When the sheets are empty, they can simply be printed out again, punched and filed (here is the link to a scan of the scoring pad, that can be printed out and cut into quarters: https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/250141/4-b-and-w-complete-scoresheets). To keep the sheets in place, they are held down with a clip from a standard binder. This is not ideal, so if anyone has a good idea for a 3D printed mechanism, I would love to see it.

Resource Trays
The two resource trays hold the baskets from @jbelay (thingiverse), modified by @tjdesign (https://www.printables.com/model/252166-everdell-resource-baskets-and-lids). They can be easily removed during setup and positioned on the game board. On the lower level there is also space for a pen, the visitor cards and other 3d printed accessories. For example, the card stand from @wizcreations (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6698444) and the season tracker from @ironfinch (printed at 95% scale, https://www.printables.com/model/675521-everdell-season-tracker).

Big Critter and Coin Tray
The Big Critter Tray and the Animal Tray are both designed to go straight from the box to the table. The shape fits perfectly on the side of the Spirecrest board. Sometimes the coins fall out of the tray if the closed box is shaken too much. I can design a lid if needed, but so far this has not been necessary for us as we play the game primarily at home. Gentle transportation doesn't cause any problems either.

Box 2:

Use one of the expansion boxes for this insert.

Card Tray
The card tray in the second box holds all the smaller cards in the game, such as the Special Events or the Adornments. The dividers can theoretically be removed, but we haven't because they don't require as much flexibility as the main deck.

Various Trays
There are several smaller trays that hold things like the Spirecrest expansion's expedition and map tokens, market tokens, gold occupied markers, etc.

Critter Trays
This is probably the least efficient part of the insert. All critters (with a few exceptions) have the same size tray, as I wanted it to be as easy as possible to fill the trays and take the game apart. Some critters, e.g. the bats, need significantly more space than others, so they determined the default size. The trays can all be removed individually from the box for easy emptying. There are two special trays for the axolotls and the spiders, which also have space for the corresponding tokens. The rats are a special case, since the Rugworth expansion is not available separately in the German edition. Therefore, I did not consider all meeples during the design process. However, I have found that everything still fits in here (I just ordered the expansion in Czech...), except for the large premium die.

Box 3:

Just use one of the expansion boxes to store all the board parts. There is nothing to print.
