!!! MAKE SURE YOUR PRINTER IS CALIBRATED AND BED CLEANED, OTHERWISE PARTS MAY NOT PRINT CORRECTLY BECAUSE OF SMALL SIZE !!!

IT SPINS! Fits in the palm of an average sized hand and prints in just over an hour if all printed on the same plate.

Printing :
I would recommend using the print profile that I have uploaded due to the supports. The fan blade and the body need supports and I have manually painted them on. I would not put support material in the shaft hole on the body and fan blade if you decide to make your own profile yourself.

About :
This is a SUPER simplified version of a turbofan jet engine, it features the main fan, compressor stages, Combustion stage, High pressure turbine, and low pressure turbines as well as the nacelle. The low pressure turbines spin with the fan, while the compressor spins seperatly.

Nacelle to hang the engine here!

TurboJet with adjustable nozzle and afterburner here!

TurboProp with planetary gears here!

Larger TurboProp here!

Assembly Instructions :

- No hardware needed

- Super glue is optional, but recommended if planning on spinning often.

- It doesn't need superglue to stay together if it just sits (still spins but delicate) .

Step 1 :

All parts pictured above, this is lined up as it will be assembled.

Step 2 :

Start with the shaft and round holed compressor stages. The largest will be placed on the shaft first. The largest stage will go against the small nub on the shaft as shown below. The flat side of the compressor fan facing the nub.

If you want to superglue these together do so before placing on shaft or be very carful not to get any glue on the shaft. The four compressor blades as well as the high pressure turbine ( Round hole ) will be glued together as shown below.

Step 3 :

These Turbine stages will go on the shaft from smallest to largest, these should press fit onto the shaft and will not need glue. Result below.

Step 4 :

Place the results from the last step into the body, with the turbine stage at the end of the engine, shaft should loosly fit into the body.

Step 5 :

Place the body onto the fan cover, with the small indents fitting on the fan cover. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE GLUED! Just dab a small amount of glue onto each bar, where the connection is.

Step 6 :

Next place the fan on the end of the shaft. Rotate the fan with holding the shaft until it snaps into place.

Step 7 :

Lastly snap the nacelle onto the fan cover and your mini turboFan engine is complete!

I look forward to seeing all of the different color combinations! Thanks!
