It is highly recommended to clean the build plate with warm water and soap prior to printing to eliminate the potential adhesion problems.
No support is required.
This chess set has been successfully printed multiple times using PLA, making it the recommended filament choice. Other filaments, including PLA blends like PLA-CF, may have different thermal expansion properties, affecting print accuracy and fit.
Assembly Instructions
Assembly requires no additional tools, materials or post-processing. It is a simple print and play model. The caps securely hold the board and the pieces together.
For embedded magnet versions:
Each print profile includes 10 plates. Caps and checker pieces do not have magnet slots and should be printed in all cases. The remaining eight plates are for the board and pieces, designed for four magnet sizes: 8x2mm, 6x2mm, 5x2mm, and 4x2mm. To ensure compatibility, select and print only two plates, one for the board and one for the pieces, that match your chosen magnet size.
During printing, the profile will pause automatically at the designated layer, allowing you to insert the magnets before resuming. If your nozzle is magnetic, it may pull the magnets out of the slots when printing continues. To prevent this, apply a small amount of glue before resuming to secure the magnets in place.
