Description
Documentation Update
June 18, 2025
A new example start g-code file has been added to the documentation section for the X1 Carbon. Use a text editor and compare to your current start G-code to be able to replace the purge line with the ziptie! Search for “old nozzle load line” and “new ZIPTIE purge line” and you'll see how the purge line was replaced. Note that you cannot use this and the flow rate calibration at the same time…
This single-layer Purge Line Ziptie weighs just 0.12 grams per 150 mm and prints in a swift 14 seconds, making it ideal for “the last meter”. Its streamlined design includes two holes for single- or dual-loop configurations, ensuring a versatile and secure hold for plants, cables, or any quick-fix task. Embrace efficient, minimalistic printing in record time with this ultra-light solution!
Note that if you print it from damp PLA, it might snap on you if you bend it too much. With that said, we've used PLA without any issues.
You could use this design to replace that purge line with something you can use! @bambulab: maybe you could add this to your backlog? :-)
