In designing this autoscoring system, my primary focus was achieving a stable connection between the ring elements and the bases. Furthermore, my goal was to avoid threaded inserts while still ensuring a robust fastening of the individual components.

All parts, except the camera arms and covers, can be printed without support.

The LED strip I used has a dimmer, which I integrated into a base. If you use a different LED strip, you can use the alternative base for cable routing.

Required Hardware:

Connecting the ring elements:

  • 18x M4x12 countersunk screws
  • 18x M4 nuts

Attaching ring to base/camera arm:

  • 6x M4x25 countersunk screws
  • 6x M4 nuts

Attaching the camera:

  • 12x M2x6 countersunk screws

Attaching the camera cover:

  • 3x M2x8 countersunk screws

Attaching the base cover (only when using the base for the dimmer)

  • 4x M4x8 countersunk screws

Parts List:

  • 2x Base
  • 2x Camera Arm
  • 1x Camera Arm_Cable Routing
  • 2x Base Mount
  • 1x Base Mount_Cable Routing
  • 3x Camera Cover
  • 6x Ring Element
  • 9x Connector

Additionally:

  • 1x Base_Cable Routing_1
  • 1x Base_Cable Routing_2
  • 1x Cover_Base

Or alternatively

  • 1x Base_Cable Routing_Alternative
