A1 PTFE Tube Remover
Print Profile(3)

Description
NEW!! Version 3. Stronger. More comfortable.
After hundreds of positive feedback ratings, I'm still occasionally receiving reports of breakage at the shaft when using PLA. The original design has a natural weak point where the shaft meets the body. Based on the valuable feedback, version 3 attempts to resolve the issue by making the screw longer, thus providing a steel core in the center of the shaft. It does require a 15-20mm M3 screw.

If you are like me, you have a heck of a time removing the PTFE tubes from the AMS Lite filament hub on top of the extruder of the A1 and Mini. I've tried several mods on MW, but never seem to achieve complete success, so I decided to design my own solution.
Problem:
- Those tubes are hard to remove no matter what you do
- You have to push down on the tube before you pull it out which can stress the gantry and extruder
- It's hard to grab the tube without your fingers slipping when pushing down and pulling it up
- You really need 3 hands!
My Solution:
- Design a small clip for the PTFE tube that allows more force to be applied without slipping
- Design a clamping mechanism that holds the filament hub in place while pushing down and pulling up
- Simple, fast print on any printer and any material
Printing Instructions
Use my profile for my preferred settings or plate them yourself with the .stl files in the download section. The tube remover can be printed on all Bambu printers including the Mini. I printed mine in Bambu PLA-CF for extra strength, but it can be printed in PLA or PTEG. Standard settings, .2mm layer height, 50% rectlinear infill on the clamp and 100% infill on the tube grip. A small amount of support is required for the overhangs on the clamp tines.
