Magnetic Push Button – Proof of Concept & Fidget Toy
This magnetic push button is an exciting proof of concept for a mechanical button that snaps back using magnets instead of a spring. A total of eight Bambu Lab CA001 magnets (4x2 mm) create a smooth yet snappy return action – with a satisfying click sound!
🔹 Features:
✔ Magnet-based return mechanism – no springs needed
✔ No glue required – everything holds together with a press fit
✔ Compact design, perfect as a fidget toy
✔ Crisp, tactile feedback for a satisfying press
✔ Great for experimenting with magnetic switches
Assembly Instructions:
1️⃣ Insert four magnets into the designated slots on both the rigid base and the movable button part.
- Ensure all four magnets in each part have the same orientation (either all north-up or all south-up).
- The magnets press-fit securely into place – no glue needed.

2️⃣ Insert the movable button part into the rigid base.

3️⃣ Attach the button cap by pressing it onto the top.
- It will hold in place via press-fit, but for extra security, you can optionally glue it.

💡 Whether as a tech demo, switch prototype, or just a fun fidget toy, this button is super satisfying to use! 🛠️🔧🎮
