Hopping into your collection like a pro!

Say hello to the Lively Grasshopper, a jumpy new addition to the Chitin Pals series! This fully articulated insect features movable legs and detailed mandibles, bringing a touch of nature to your 3D prints. Whether you’re an insect enthusiast or just love fun, articulated models, this grasshopper is ready to hop onto your print bed!

🛠️ Antennae Mod:

Want to give it a more natural look? Cut two pieces of filament (about 4-5 cm / 1.5-2 inches each) from the spool and press them into the small holes on the head. If needed, secure them with a tiny drop of super glue (CA glue) for extra durability.

🔄 Leg Movement Tip:

The shorter front legs may be a little tight after printing. Gently move them back and forth to loosen them and ensure full articulation.

🔥 Features:

  • Print-in-place – no supports needed!
  • Fully articulated legs and mandibles for dynamic posing.
  • Chitin-inspired details for a more organic look.
  • Customizable antennae using filament pieces!
  • Natural movement – loosen the shorter legs with gentle motion.
  • Perfect for fidgeting, display, or tabletop gaming!

🖨️ Print Recommendations:

  • No supports, optimized for easy printing.
  • Recommended layer height: 0.2 mm or finer for best articulation.
  • Works great with silk or matte filaments for a unique chitin effect.
  • For the antennae, cut two 4-5 cm (1.5-2 inch) filament pieces and press them into the head holes.
  • After printing, gently move the front legs to ensure smooth rotation.
