Surprise your loved ones this Valentine's Day with a uniquely designed Poly Heart Gift Box. This 3D-printed box features a sleek low-poly heart shape and an innovative magnetic closure system, ensuring a secure yet seamless opening experience.
Features:
- Magnetic snap closure using 4x2mm magnets for a smooth and secure fit.
- Customizable magnet cutouts modeled as negative cylinders, allowing Bambu Studio users to adjust for different magnet sizes.
- Print-in-place magnet insertion with an automatic pause at the right layers to insert magnets before sealing them inside.
- Great for gifts, perfect for small trinkets, jewelry, or a heartfelt surprise.
Print & Assembly Instructions:
1. Printing Setup:
- Nozzle Size: I have profiles for both 0.2mm and 0.4mm nozzles, but I highly recommend using a 0.2mm nozzle for the best quality. My print came out amazing with a 0.2mm nozzle and 0.06mm layer height. It took a while to print, but the final result had a perfect finish.
- Filament: PLA, PETG, or your preferred material.
- Layer Height: 0.2mm recommended (or 0.06mm for ultra-high quality).
- Infill: 15-20% for durability.
- Magnet Size: Designed for 4x2mm magnets, but adjustable.
2. Magnet Placement:
- During the print, the model will auto-pause at the designated magnet insertion layers.
- For the top half, insert the magnets into the holes when prompted. Make sure the orientation is correct before resuming the print.
- For the bottom half, ensure the magnets attract properly to the top half before inserting them in the designated slots. Resume printing to seal them inside.
- For Bambu Studio users, if using different magnets, increase the diameter and height of the magnet cutouts by 0.3mm to ensure a good fit.
