Description
20-Piece Diamond Painting Garage with Magnetic Inserts
Version 2 - 50% Weight Reduction
The solid material variant (Version 1) of the garage proved excessively heavy, resulting in what I considered excessive filament consumption, prompting the creation of a “Light” version for my garages.
Garage Version 2 boasts approximately a 50% weight reduction compared to Version 1, consequently saving on filament.
Functionality, dimensions, and magnetic inserts remain identical to Version 1.
Printing Note: I have adjusted the overhang and bridging speeds, slowing them down for optimal bridge/overhang creation.
Suitable dimensions for trays fitting the garage:
- Width 70 mm
- Height 17 mm

The garage features recesses for magnets with the following specifications:
- Maximum 10mm diameter (the recesses are square with dimensions 10.3 x 10.3 mm)
- Maximum thickness 2mm (with corresponding tolerance)
- Magnets should be neodymium with at least an “N42” classification for adequate hold.

A pause should be inserted in the slicer at layer 19 to allow for magnet insertion. While the slicer displays the holes as already closed, the pause is implemented at the beginning of layer 19, with the holes closing only at the end of layer 19.
