Description

I had some cuttings that needed a new home and some of these from ikea that cost $0.99 each in Canada (https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/nojig-organizer-plastic-beige-20468105/). The base needs a wick wrapped around it, I used some felt from my wifes craft stash but you could use anything that can wick up moisture like a cut of a cotton/synthetic shirt or even some paper towel!

I printed it with a 6mm internal brim that I tried to keep attached to give the roots more to grab onto once they grow through the wick. It can hold about 2L of water and the wick will allow it to use all the water before it needs refilling so it should be a very low maintenance planter with plenty of root space to grow kratky method if it can grow through your wicking material. My Leca stash is very low so I was skimpy during this transplant, you could use any grow media. One of my cuttings had very little roots so I gave it a cotton ball to keep it wet incase it wiggles off the main wick. I wouldn't use this for plants you intend on eating because these cheap containers aren't claimed to be food grade but should work great for house plants!
