Description

A heavy-duty holder (for ½" and 3/8" square sockets) designed to firmly attach sockets to a tool belt, tool bag, keychain, etc.

The model is tuned for Bambu Lab high flow PETG. I’ve tried PETG from Anycubic, and Sunlu as well—they all work, but they require a drop of lubricant for smooth operation. Bambu Lab HF PETG is the only one that doesn’t need lubricant. My best guess is that it has something to do with the additives that give it its matte appearance.

 

After printing, the mechanism must be freed and operated approximately 5–10 times to achieve smooth operation. The tolerances have been chosen to minimize play (so they are very tight). If you have trouble initially freeing the mechanism, the following method can be used:

 

(Also, make sure your printer is configured correctly for the chosen filament. I use PETG. If you have over-extrusion, the mechanism will be very hard to operate.)
