Description

I needed a place to store my filament and a wall mounted spool hanger for my old 3D printer so I created a solution to satisfy both. This model uses ¾" wooden dowels for the rails and easily accommodates filament still in the box, open spools, and vacuum sealed spools. The print profile contains the following: Two end supports, one center support, and the sliding spool hanger.

The end supports are set up to print on opposite faces so you get the same bed texture look on the ends. These fit the dowels tight and contain screw holes from the top to secure the dowel in place.

The center support is a looser fit and allows you to slide it along to find the right spot for anchoring to the wall (find a stud, avoid a wire or pipe, etc). There will be no screw hole to secure the down inside of this one.

The spool hanger is a loose fit as well and slides along the rails for proper positioning above whichever printer to need it set up over. This too takes a ¾" dowel and includes end caps with screw holes to retain the spools.
