Home sweet Home String Deko Ring

An elegant, understated decorative ring featuring the inscription “Home sweet Home”.

Printing the ring with the strings is not straightforward. Extreme caution is required, especially when removing the letters from the print bed. I gently and gradually flexed the plate over a table edge until the letters released, rotating them frequently. Using an adhesive that also acts as a release agent, such as 3D lacquer, is also advisable.

Each letter and the strings can be colored individually. To flip the front onto the print bed, select all parts and rotate them 180 degrees. This allows for a smooth surface finish with a suitable print plate.

Without AMS, the inscription “sweet” will not print visibly. I have created a separate model with raised lettering for this; manual filament changes will be necessary.

Important!

Before printing, ensure your filament settings are correct; otherwise, the strings may break. Furthermore, set the wall generator in Bambu Studio to “Arachne”.

It is also recommended to reduce the speed of the strings to a maximum of 50 mm/s. To do this, select the strings under Objects, then reduce the outer wall speed to the desired value under Speed. This significantly increases the success rate!

The model MUST NOT be scaled; otherwise, the strings will not print!!

Note:

The strings may not be immediately recognized during slicing. I do not know why. Flipping the model and reslicing usually resolves this issue; this seems to be a Bambu Studio quirk.
