A fragmented David head sculpture, recreated from a physical scan
Print Profile(1)

Description
This project's source model originates from the SMK – State Art Museum project, linked here: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-head-of-michelangelo-s-david-52645, which features a physical scan of Michelangelo's David. The original file boasts exceptional precision. This project optimizes the polygon count for enhanced editing, incorporating a creative interpretation: the sculpture's profile is bisected, and a novel base is appended.
The bisected profile serves as the print base. Employing a third-party textured diamond-patterned build plate enhances the profile with a distinctive texture, reflecting patterns under specific lighting conditions. Slicing parameters are optimized for effortless support removal when using PETG; adjustments may be necessary for alternative materials. The showcased image utilizes Tianrui's marble granite PETG filament; the build plate is depicted below.

A 0.4mm nozzle with 0.2mm layer height is recommended; detail may appear slightly rough. For superior detail, consider reducing the layer height and incorporating top surface ironing. Incidentally, the David planter in the photograph originates from another Maker World project: https://makerworld.com/zh/models/89774?from=search#profileId-99153.
