Description

EDIT 2/16/2026: I am getting reports that this is not compatible with the P2S. I may work on a P2S model in the future, so keep an eye out for V5.

EDIT 9/7: NEW H2D/H2S MODEL HERE: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1774041-h2d-h2s-bed-plate-handle#profileId-1889024

Want to be able to grip the bed plates a little easier? Whether you just don't want to risk getting finger oils on the plate, or you have limited dexterity or mobility, this simple model helps. For only 20 minutes of print time and 8g of filament, you can’t go wrong.

This is hopefully my final version of the Bed Handle. Previous versions here:

V1: https://makerworld.com/en/models/830474#profileId-780076

V2: https://makerworld.com/en/models/838997#profileId-787075

V3: https://makerworld.com/en/models/884833#profileId-839698

V3 was successful for A1 users but couldn't grip P1/X1 models well enough. For the A1 mini, it collided with the print head. The goal for V4 was to massively increase grip strength while making it as thin as possible. To do this, I have to use the Bambu cutouts in the plates, so it won't be compatible with non-Bambu plates. If there is demand I may make a model that would work if you drill holes in the non-Bambu plates. This should be compatible with all models; I tested on my A1 and P1S. MAKE SURE YOUR BED IS CLEAN or it may not stick.

Original description:

Tired of cleaning your build plate all the time? Accidentally touch your plate too often?

I designed this handle assembly to attach to your build plate and give you a secure place to grab the plate that won't result in you touching it and contaminating the surface. A must-have for all printers! Results in way less need for cleaning over time and is semi-permanent. Can also be removed at will if needed.

Assembly is simple. You will need a buffer material and a pair of pliers. First, place the bed and two halves on a flat surface.

Next, place the bottom half under the bed with the bambu cutout lined up.

Then, line up the top half accordingly with the pegs. Prepare two small pieces of wood or cardboard (or other material) if you want to prevent your pliers from damaging the model.

Place the buffer material over the handle on either side.

Finally, crimp the design together by applying pressure with the pliers on each peg. You should feel a small click when it's in place.
