Description

**UPDATE:

With the help of user feedback. I have updated the print profile to have the lamp shade be printed using 0.9mm thick walls to remove the issue some users were having with the lamp shade being wavy.

Greetings!

Lots of work has been put into designing this Sea of Thieves Inspired Lamp. I hope you really enjoy it!

Features

  • Almost no supports needed!
That's right, there's only a few small places where supports are needed. And I've already tuned the profiles so they snap off effortlessly.
  • Easy assembly!
Everything has alignment pins, and only go together one way. All of the cage segments are marked so you know which one connects to which. Just needs a little gluing together. My printed is pretty well tuned, so the tolerances might be a little tight. Some light sanding might be needed for a perfect fitment.
  • Multiple light cores!
    • I've included a version of the lamp for use with RGBW LEDS (SK6812 or similar) and designed around the use of an Adafruit Sparkle Motion Mini ESP32. This, along with the use of a software called WLED allows for color changes and a candle flicker effect!
    • As well I included a version designed around the use the LED Lamp Kit MH001 if you want a simple (no soldering), approach but without color control.
  • Print profiles for 0.4mm and 0.6mm nozzle sizes!
I printed my lamp (shown in pictures) using Protopasta's Iron infused filament. They recommend using a 0.6mm nozzle with that so I've included profiles for both 0.4mm and 0.6mm nozzles.
  • Carefully tuned print profiles!
    • I've spent a lot of time tuning and adjusting the print settings so you get the best quality, without wasting too much time on printing speed.
    • The lamp shade has been designed to print using vase mode. This is to insure the material is thin enough for the light to shine through. As well as increasing print time.
  • Magnets!
    • Who doesn't love magnets? The light cores, and lamp top are designed to be held in place with 18 6x2 disc magnets. This allows you to change out the light cores or perform maintenance if needed.
