Description

This is a multi tool to help install the PTFE tube on the ‘AMS Light Saver Snag Cutter’ by Hexavalent.

Warning: When using this tool be sure to keep it flat against a table to avoid cutting yourself.

Follow the below steps for use as well as Hexavalent's assembly instruction video: https://youtu.be/SRZUquLMymw

Steps:
2. Take your PTFE/Teflon tube and place it through to the slot, closest to the clamp, as shown on the left of the image below and cut through the slot with your blade of choice

You'll notice a small recess in the tip of the clamp part. pinch the clamp down and bump up the tube to that ledge.
Hold down the clamp and cut at the middle 1/4in (6mm) slot. Now you have your small tube to install on the bottom of the AMS Light Saver in a later step.

Note: You can even use the Bambu Labs cutter you'll be using on the AMS Light Saver.

2. Choose between the 5-1/2in (140mm) or 5-3/8in (137mm) slots to cut your PTFE tube to length by holding the clamp down.

3. Use the clamp of the tool to hold the small cut tube done in step 1 to install into the base of the AMS Light Cutter. Use the flat portion of the tool to push the tube in.

4. Next, put the longer cut tube(s) into the clamp portion of the tool and pinch with your fingers. Twist into the top of the cutter to install until the tube is revealed in the indicator hole.

Use the clamp to hold the tube above the curved tube guide to assist attaching the triangular filament guide.

Special feature!!!
Included in the center of each of the cutting slots is a hole to hold a small piece of filament to use to take apart the AMS Light Saver.
You can also use a cutting slot to cut that piece of filament, just make sure the filament is above about 5/8in (16mm).

And there you have it, a tool to help you install all four of your AMS Light Savers to prevent those pesky tape stoppages.

Enjoy!
