Description

I wasn't satisfied with the available Drag knifes on the market for the desktop CNC community. So I built my own using PLA-CF, a carbon fiber rod, 3 608 bearings. The novelty here is that the knife blade holder is an insert between two clam shell outers. This allows the user to change from using the standard utility blade to using, for instance, a scalpel blade. I'll be adding various blade insert once this model gets some traction.

This runs on a 8mm carbon fibre rod, therefore you need an 8mm collet. I will be adding the ability to print the rod in PLA-CF at various collet sizes, however the real CF rod is going to be the most stable.

PS. Make sure you understand how a drag knife works. The router should always be disconnected from power supply when using a drag knife.
