Spyro the Dragon Gems (Spyro 2 & 3)

Gems from Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! and Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon for the Sony Playstation!

Here is some more Spyro stuff I've been sitting on posting. This isn't my original work (credit to Insomniac Games), but is something I put together a while back using model rips from Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. Those models seem visually identical to the gems from Spyro 2&3, with the exception of the magenta “25-gem” - which is an elongated variant of the red gem. Thanks to the user who shared those files originally! I wanted to share this here so others could easily print their own.

I might post some further remixes in the future, as I used these to make some other things as well.

Tips:

• I bet that silk PLA or maybe even translucent PETG would work better, but I lacked the color variety to make that happen.
• Slow speeds make the surface finish shinier, so I've slowed the outer layers down significantly for this purpose.
• The top face will have whatever build plate texture you're using. So keep that in mind! I used the Smooth PEI sheet for these.

Filaments used:

• Bambu PLA Basic (red)
• Bambu PLA Basic (bambu green)
• Voxelab PLA Pro (Purple)
• Bambu PLA Basic (yellow)
• Bambu PLA Basic (magenta)

They took a different approach, and created some stunning prints using silk filament!

In addition, before going this route I printed out these gems on Printables posted by user @rainbowkrash!

These are pretty good as well, but the yellow gem has some different corner faces than in-game.
