This pan flute is easily tuned using threaded plugs that seal the pipes with an 8x2 O-ring.

The locking screws, adjustable with a 6mm Allen key, can alter the length of each pipe by up to 5mm, enabling swift and precise tuning of each individual flute.

The five longest pipes (C, D, E, F, G), due to their height, are in two sections and are simply screwed together after printing. I recommend adhering these pipes with a slow-setting model-making adhesive; otherwise, the pipes might unscrew during tuning instead of the end caps.

UPDATE 25.02.2025

To address a minor strength issue at the threaded joint of the longer pipes, I've added a reinforcing element to the profile. After gluing the pipe extensions (C, D, E, F, G), this should be slid over the first five pipes from below and glued to both the pipes and the pan flute's base (see photos).

UPDATE: 28.2.2025

To enable tuning the flute in different keys, I've made tuning plugs of varying lengths available for download.

A longer tuning plug can, for example, transform an F pipe into an F# pipe!
