Description

✨ Jellycat drinks coaster ✨

This is a fun, decorative Jellycat inspired drinks coaster, designed to add a bit of character to your desk, coffee table or shelf. It’s a simple, fast print with a smooth finished face, making it ideal for everyday use or as a gift. It does however require the use of an AMS.

Alongside the coaster itself, there’s a second print profile for a matching coaster holder, capable of holding up to four coasters neatly when not in use. There are no customisation options here, just load the profiles and print.

The coaster is designed to be printed face down on a PEI build plate, exactly as set in the supplied print profile, to give the cleanest, least 3D printed looking possible top surface.

🔥 Tips before you start

Having a clean print bed and hot end(s) free from filament is essential in getting that crisp, clean look. Here's some tips on what to do to get the best print possible;

🧼 Cleaning

Clean your plate first, following your usual routine. Dish soap works best, clean and then rinse thoroughly, ensure the plate is dry and free of debris before putting back in the printer.

Leftover filament residue on your hot end can cause unwanted surface artefacts. Please inspect your hot end before starting the print, if you spot any clumps or leftover filament, follow Bambu's recommended cleaning guide to remove.

🖨️ Printing setup

This download includes two separate 3MF print profiles:

  • Jellycat drinks coaster
  • Coaster holder (holds up to 4 coasters)

Please ensure you select the correct profile before slicing.

  • Filament: PLA. Four colours are needed for this print: White, Orange, Turquoise and Black. The Bambu Basic PLA I used are listed in the Bill of Materials on this page.
  • Build plate: Textured PEI Plate
  • Print orientation: Coaster prints face down
  • AMS: Required (too many colour changes to print this manually / with pauses)

The supplied profiles are already set up for the correct orientation and surface finish.

🧰 Troubleshooting

Model Doesn’t Match Preview / Wrong Colours / Odd Layout / Dots instead of lines or shapes

If your model looks misaligned, missing details, or prints incorrectly, please make sure you are using the supplied 3MF print profiles, not the raw STL or STEP files.

The 3MF files contain all the model specific tuning, including:

  • Surface-facing orientation
  • Line width settings
  • Print specific adjustments

To use them properly:

  • Either click “Open in Bambu Studio” directly from MakerWorld,
  • Or download the .3MF file and open it manually in Bambu Studio.

Avoid using the raw STL or STEP files unless you specifically want to rebuild your own profiles, they do not include the tuned print settings.
