Description

This is a toy version of a child's ankle brace. When a child needs a brace, a toy like this can help “normalize” the whole process.   Add a it of velcro as straps and you're all set.

The design is similar to one I've seen posted but I wanted something slightly different so I made my own from scratch in onShape CAD.

I've printed this with BambuLabs “TPU for AMS” (TPU-AMS) which is not as soft or stretchy as typical TPU-95a, but does provide a tough, flexible, semi-rigid feel that is ideal for something like this.    You can use PLA or PETG or even ABS if you like and they should print just fine.   The TPU-AMS will hold up to children much better, I think.

The profile I use is modified to slow down a fair bit more than default for bridging.  I find that gives me good results for something like this.

This is only my second design, so be nice.
