Description
This design uses the Heron fountain mechanism to pump water without any motor or electric pump for 5 minutes.
How it works:
- Fill half a glass with water and pour in this amount. This will fill the bottom of the hourglass
- Turn it upside down to allow the top of the hourglass to fill (sometimes bubbles can form in the passages, just shake it a bit)
- Turn it back to the starting position
- Pour a little water into the top.
The fountain will stop when the bottom is filled with water. If the process is done correctly this will take 5 minutes to stop.
