Bill of Materials
Description
This is a fully modular shelf system and it's just your imagination that limits what kind of shelves you can build! I have shown off a few possible versions in the images, but I'm sure you can make much nicer and more creative versions on your walls, floors, tables, desk's etc. Can be built in whatever size you want, and you can even make one continuous shelf that run from one wall to the next. Don't get me started on the fun you can have with colors ;-)
- Build in any configuration
- Push together with included printable pins (glue not needed but can be added)
- Wide variety of uses
- Several wall mounts and feet
- 15 cm wide
The idea for this started with a Shoe Rack / Wall Shelf i designed for the Shoe Rack Competition which became very popular, and all the parts in this shelf system fit together with the parts in the Shoe Rack. Any parts you would like to be added? Let me know in the comment's and I'll see what I can do :-)

Mounting
If the shelf you are making only are going to hold lighter things, then 2 pin's between parts is enough. Adjust the number of wall mounts according to what design you are after and what kind of weight you will be subjecting the shelves to. The 5 mm Wall Mount need to have shelf parts that run vertically lower than the mount itself to create support. The 20 mm Large Wall Mount are self-supporting. Mount the 5 mm Wall Mount with the square with the screw hole facing down. The Large Wall Mount can be used both over and under the shelf. Secure to the wall with a screws. Use spacers to compensate for the width of feet and wall mounts in oposite places to keep it straight.
The 20 mm spacer that bearly cover the 3 pins make room for power cords to run through the shelf.
Printing
Standard Print Profile
- 0.2 mm layer height
- 2 walls
- 5% rectilinear infill in shelf parts
- 15% rectilinear infill in pins, mounts and feet
- Print pins laying down
- Support for bottom bend of the end pieces, pins and wall mount
- The pins are very tight, I recommend rotating both ends of the pins in the holes a bit before mounting, then it's easier to disassemble if you would like to make changes later.
- The wall mounts, feet and spacers are threaded on the pins between two parts.
- Printed and tested in PLA
Extra Strength Print Profile
- 0.2 mm layer
- 4 walls
- 15% gyroid infill in shelf parts
- 20% gyroid infill in pins and mounts
Updates
- 21.07.25: Added heighten feet that let a robot vacuum cleaner pass underneath the shelf. Extended feet to 150 mm. The filename is: "Extended feet 150 mm.stl"
