Description

Hey folks!

My hand got tired of holding the raptor, so i came up with my own design for a more comfortable handle :D

The clamp that holds the raptor is fairly tight and must be twisted into place. It is also mounted with one screw.

I leave the clamp attached to the scanner permanently, it still fits its case nicely!

There are quite aggressive overhangs in this model, i recommend printing at 0,08mm layerheight, its worth the wait!

The mechanism that holds the clamp on the handle works very reliable and can be operated with your thumb.

This build does not need a lot of hardware, there are only a few things that need to be bought.

Hardware:

  • 2x M3 heat set insert (i use “Ruthex”)

  • 2x M3x8mm countersunk screws

  • 2x compression spring 20x7mm (0,6 - 0,8mm wire diameter)

  • 1x ¼ Inch x 15mm lens head screw (this is for the thread in the raptor, shame on you creality, use metric next time :D, just joking!)

Have fun printing, if you like the design, consider giving it a boost or a like.

Constructive feedback is always welcome.

best regards,

MIM
