Description
I have designed a cover to easily distinguish keys – especially among many similar keys, such as those for Thule bike carriers, ski racks, roof racks, or towbars. Since they all have the same key shape, finding the right key often takes too long. With this design, each key gets its own marking, making it immediately clear what it is for.
The cover is specifically designed for ACS and N keys, so the key number remains visible.
The printing process is programmed so that the 3D printer automatically pauses at a certain layer. At this stage, the key should be inserted before the printing process is continued.
It is best to insert the key with the code facing down. In addition, the upper handle surface of the key should be coated with an adhesive to ensure better adhesion of the filament.
The small round spacer on the front only serves to prevent the key from tilting – it can simply be discarded after printing.
