Skadis Drawer Type 1 - for hanging on top
Print Profile(1)

Description
Skadis DrawerType 1 only for hanging from the top (no hooks)
Dimensions: Internal dimensions 210 x 55 x 160 mm
My wife wanted a drawer for the top edge of the Skadis wall. However, as we only had two free hook holes in our case, I devised this variant. To ensure better stability and avoid using only two hooks.
This drawer simply hangs from the top of the Skadis wall, eliminating concerns about hook breakage.
I printed everything using PLA in my instance; it's exceptionally stable, proving sufficient and negating the need for PETG.
The drawer is designed for complete extension without falling out. :)
Note on printing and assembly:
- Silk PLA is not recommended!
- Print parameters are optimized for effortless printing.
- Overhang speeds are adjusted and should be maintained.
- I set the maximum speed to 150 mm/s.
- Consequently, printing takes slightly longer.
- Print the drawer horizontally.
- Print the housing and hook vertically.
- The drawer and hook have a 7 mm border, and the housing has a 10 mm border.
- Supports are adjusted and optimized.
- Allow components to cool before support removal. Ideally, use a scalpel to score between the component and the top interface for residue-free support removal.
- After removal, gently sand the surfaces where supports/interfaces were located. Remove any burrs and residue.
- The hooks feature dovetail guides, designed with a tight fit (0.2 mm clearance).
- Push them in firmly and check for proper seating. If necessary, file slightly to achieve a secure fit and prevent falling out :)
- Insert the drawer and gently press the rear panels on the left and right towards the center, allowing the small hooks to slide into the guides.

This drawer is only hung from the top of the Skadis wall, so you don't have to worry about the hooks breaking.
In my case, I printed everything with PLA, and it's very stable. I'm convinced that it's sufficient and doesn't necessarily need to use PETG.
The drawer is designed so that you can pull it out completely and it won't fall out. :)
Note on printing and assembly:
- Silk PLA is not recommended!
- The print parameters are set so that you can print without any problems.
- Overhang speeds have been adjusted and should be used as they are.
- I set the maximum speed to 150 mm/s.
- Accordingly, printing will take a bit longer.
- Print the drawer lying down.
- Print the housing and hook standing up.
- The drawer and hook have a 7 mm border, and the housing has a 10 mm border.
- Supports are adjusted and adjusted
- Let the components cool down before removing the supports. It's best to use a scalpel to score between the component and the upper interface so that you can remove the supports without leaving any residue.
- Once everything is removed, lightly sand the surfaces where the supports/interfaces were located. This means removing any burrs and residue.
- The hooks have dovetail guides; these are very tight (0.2 mm clearance).
- Push them onto the frame with a little force and check if they press down well. Otherwise, lightly file them again. So it fits nice and tight and can't fall out :)
- Insert the drawer and gently press the left and right rear panels toward the center so that the small hooks slide into the guides.
