Description

Hello! I was inspired to make this model after printing the cool Lightsaber keychain model made by @JosayaJosh. Although I'm not completely satisfied with the result yet, I figured I'd post it now and tweak it later while I work on new designs. It works well for me but may still require some filing or tweaking for different printers/filaments.

Please read the assembly guide. There are things that will help you after printing.

Some filaments print different, especially those that are wet or poor quality. You may need to adjust the sizes of the blades if not using Bambu filament. These are tight tolerances and can be tricky. This could be the same for matte and other materials other than pla, so let me know how it goes if you use these materials

Please don't leave a poor rating just because you couldn't get the tolerances honed in. It really does hurt designers

Assembly guide:

First start by scraping away the excess seem and overflow material at the bottom of the saber body.

Refer to the next 3 pictures

Next, after ensuring that the blade swings and slides well in the body housing, glue the bottom piece to the body.

Finally, Play with your new creation! the more you use the saber, the more you wear down the blade and the easier it will be to swing.

You may need to replace the blade after repeated use, so that's why you are able to take the blade out of the body with a hard tug.

Note: I know that the orientation of the body is a little funky and results in a not so smooth bottom, but that was the best way to save money on waste and still keep it successful, if you find a better orientation for the body, please let me know, and I can adjust my profile.
