Description

None of the other designs fit as large or as many straws as my wife wanted stored so I designed this one to utilize the entire cabinet door width and it fits straws up to 11mm (7/16") in diameter. This could just as easily be mounted to the underside of shelf. It also provides positive guidance for the entire length of the holder meaning as you put the straw into the organizer, theirs just enough wall printed to help guide the end of the straw all the way into the bottom pocket. The bottom pocket is also on a slant with a hole so if you happen to put a straw into the holder when it's wet, the water won't collect and make the bottom pocket nasty over time. It also helps the straw fully dry because air can freely circulate from one end of the straw to the other.

I would recommend printing in PETG just because it's a little more food friendly of a material as compared to PLA or ABS. There are 2 print profiles available and neither needs supports. One prints vertically which I prefer the look of, but make sure you have good bed adhesion before selecting one. The other prints flat so in order to not need supports, the circle opening for the straw is squared off. It works just as well minus fitting a slightly smaller diameter straw (only 10mm vs 11mm), but I don't think it looks as nice.

UPDATE 5/125: Added additional sizes. Enjoy!

While it looks simple, a lot of time and effort went into multiple rounds of prototyping so if you find it as useful as my wife does, please consider giving it a boost! :)
