Description

Vacuum Block for 20 & 19 mm Bench Dog Holes (BSP & NPT thread options)

Update Jan 24, 2026: Threads of currently released versions are BSP type (typically used in Europe). NPT versions (common in US/CA) are under development and will be released soon.

Update Jan 31, 2026: 5 new NPT versions released as beta version. Print profile has been tested, however, as I do not have fittings with NPT thread I cannot verify the fit at the moment. If any user would like to try it out, please leave feedback in the comments below. Model description will be officially updated afterwards

Key features

  • Includes 2 versions for 20 mm and 19 mm bench dog holes (BSP thread)
  • Tube connection via the bench dog holes to have a clean working table (requires plugging and unplugging before and after using it)
  • Two print profiles included (hint: I prefer the 0.4 mm version)
    • 0.4 mm nozzle: nicer (especially in bridging areas) but slower print
    • 0.6 mm nozzle: faster but slightly lower print quality
  • Fits standard connectors for vacuum tubing
  • Multiple blocks can be nested into each other (including the pneumatic fitting) for space saving, efficient storage

Storage solution and other variants available

Additional hardware required

  • 5 mm foam seal (e.g., https://amzn.eu/d/6fLlTmm)
  • PC6-02 pneumatic fittings (e.g., https://amzn.eu/d/3aHwWCe)
  • Useful starter set including pneumatic fittings and tubes (e.g., https://amzn.eu/d/br2hIfl)
  • CA glue for closing the foam seal
  • Vacuum pump
    • I would recommend a strong version with 500+ Watts if you are planning serious work like clamping for sanding or routing. I am the using this one.
    • If you want to try it out and have a fun project, you can build the smaller Filament Vacuum Pump (this version will not able to drive more than 1-2 blocks but is great to create a filament vacuum for storage)

Installation instructions

  • Print
  • Add foam seals (2 on rear, 1 on front); recommended to cut the foam around 45 degrees before glueing together with CA glue to make a stronger joint
  • Screw in the pneumatic fitting (gentle force, don't over-tighten)
