Description

Without a nightstand, I needed a place to keep my glasses within reach while in bed.  I found other models, but they weren't the right size for my bed, used excessive amount of filament to print or were flimsy.  This simple, yet sturdy model is designed to snugly hook-on to your bedrail to keep your glasses or other small items handy.  No screws, tools or adhesive required.  Printing the hook separately on its side avoids the need for supports and wasted filament.

In order to fit multiple sizes of beds, I created hooks in the following widths: 15mm, 20mm, 27mm, 30mm, 35mm and 40mm.  (Leave a comment below if you need a different size and I'll see what I can do).

Update 3/23/25:  I shortened the overall length of the hooks so the top of the glasses holder will now sit closer to the top edge of the bedrail.

Printing:  Select and print the plate labeled with the hook width for your specific bed rail.  I printed on standard 0.20 mm settings in PETG since some flex is required in the hook for a secure fit over the bed rail.  In order to print without supports, some bridging is required in the hook insert area, but it is not seen on the outside of the model, nor does it affect functionality.  The hook is designed with a tight fit tolerance in the holder for stability and to avoid the need for adhesive in keeping the two pieces together.
