Description

The Casper is a fully 3D-printable balisong (butterfly knife) trainer, designed for smooth and safe flipping. As part of the new Mc'Coon - Ringtail Series, this model features an original design with hidden stop pins and a simple press-fit assembly, requiring no screws or metal parts.

Features:

  • Safe, trainer-style design with no sharp edges
  • Fully 3D-printed with press-fit pivot system
  • Designed for easy printing with minimal supports
  • 60g weight, printed at 100% infill for better balance
  • Optimized for PLA Matte, but also works well with other materials

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Remove all supports from the printed parts, ensuring that no support material remains in the pinholes.
  2. Check the pins to make sure they are completely clean of any leftover support material.
  3. Insert one pin into a handle, then lay it flat on a table.
  4. Place the blade into the handle and press down firmly on the table until it snaps into place.
  5. Insert the second pin the same way, pressing it in until secure.
  6. Repeat the same process for the other handle.

The Casper is the first model in the Mc'Coon - Ringtail Series, a line of high-quality, 3D-printable balisong trainers. More designs will follow as I continue developing this series.
