Collapsible Axe with Spring-Lock Mechanism
Print Profile(3)

Description

This is a folding axe with a locking mechanism. It can be quickly deployed and locked. Simple to print with minimal supports required. No hardware needed for assembly. Adhesive is optional (single-color monolithic handle requires no adhesive; multi-color handles require adhesive to bond the decorative panels).

Two design options are available:
Integrated Handle & Decorative Panel Version – Simplified installation with a single-unit structure;
Separate Handle & Decorative Panel Version – Allows multi-color filament combinations for enhanced visual aesthetics, but requires adhesive bonding during assembly (handles to decorative panels)
Assembly Steps:
1. Bond decorative panels to handles. Skip this step if using the integrated version.

2.Install the hook assembly.
- A 0.2mm-thick sacrificial layer is designed here to avoid support structures. Pierce through this layer during installation.

3.Position internal components as illustrated.

Secure both handles,
- Place the axe blade,
Fix the upper and lower ends with two locating pins.
