Bill of Materials
Description

I was tired of one-color-sculptures I've made, so I was trying to get one really popping out. But I don't own a multicolor system, so the goal was to cut every pieces down. And indeed, colors change everything.
It really was a long road to get there, but I hope it was worth it.
Everything started with a quick sketch, I don't even know why I started to draw Sonic. Maybe because I saw some poster of the last movie on a bus. Then I was like “hey why not?”.

Anyway, the process itself was not so complicated. The hard part came when cutting and assembling each and every pieces. As you can see below. I should be able to glue some of them to rebuild one or two Sonic I'm hoping.

- Every parts are split on their own color plate.
- The main pieces were for the most printed at 0.2mm layer height. You can obviously go lower if you wish to see less and less layer lines.
- You don't have to print the base if you don't need it, Sonic can stays on his feet on his own.
- Sonic himself is 14cm tall. You can probably scale him down, but I've no idea how the pieces will snap together.
- To assemble, I tried to make some differences for left and right, for example the shoes, one has a cube as interlocking, the other one a triangle shape. Hands are different and one arm has an hole the other doesn't. The whole assembling is pretty straight forward.
- You'll notice you can add magnets in the shoes and the base (you'll need 4), but those are completely optional. Think about removing the pause if you don't need to place them.
- Normally, you won't need glue except for the shoe buckles, but I ended up adding some to the arms and eyes just to be sure they won't fall down when manipulating.
- The small squares might be hard to snap into the base, also depending on your printer's accuracy and/or filament. I used some pen to push some into their holes.
- I also added a full version if you own an AMS or another multicolor system.
