Baby Mobile Stand – 3D Printable Crib Attachment

This is a sturdy, fully 3D printable baby mobile stand designed to attach securely to a crib. It’s modular, easy to assemble, and doesn’t require any additional hardware — all parts, including the screws and knobs, are printable.

A great DIY project for parents looking to add a gentle and customized touch to their baby's crib. Just print, assemble, and hang your favorite mobile!

Features:

  • Clamp-on base that fits most crib rails
  • Modular arm segments for customizable height and angle
  • Rotating joints for perfect positioning
  • Tool-free assembly with twist knobs
  • Designed to fit standard FDM printer beds (split across 3 plates)

Print Tips:

  • XY hole compensation: 0.1 mm
  • XY contour compensation: -0.1 mm
These values helped the screws and connectors fit tightly without sanding.
  • Supports: Enabled with tree-style (auto), threshold angle 25°.
Tree supports helped reduce material use and were easy to remove from curved parts.

📝 Note on Strength & Safety
Filament strength can vary a lot between types, so depending on what you’re using — and whether your baby might try to grab the mobile — it's a good idea to print just one cylinder first and do a quick bend or break test before printing all four.

If it feels too weak, consider switching to a strength-focused profile (like more walls, higher infill, or a tougher infill pattern such as Gyroid) to make sure everything stays safe and sturdy.
