Super Precise Flexible Lead Screw Cleaning Clip

Description
Lead Screw Cleaning Clip for 3D Printers – Precision-Designed for Effortless Maintenance
The Leadscrew Cleaner is engineered to make Z-axis lead screw maintenance in 3D printers effortless and efficient. Designed to clip directly onto the lead screws, it effectively removes dust, debris, and excess grease, ensuring smoother motion and a longer lifespan for your printer's mechanics.
Precision-Engineered Design
🔍 Optimized Tooth Profile – After multiple rounds of precise measurements, printing, and testing, the lead screw cleaner’s tooth profile was finely tuned to match the correct lead screw specifications. (This picture shows the test block fit perfectly to the leadscrew, and hole itself by its threads)

🎯 Perfect Fit for Tissue – The design was carefully adjusted to ensure it securely holds a cleaning tissue without being too tight or too loose, allowing for effective grease absorption.
📏 Height Optimization – Through experiments with different print heights, the ideal configuration was found to meet cleaning requirements without compromising fit or function. (The best result I got was 0.16mm, anything thicker than that won't got the full depth of threads)
How It Works
🧼 Absorbent Cleaning Material – Holds tissue or cloth to wipe off excess grease and debris as the lead screw moves. Tissues should be replaced periodically when saturated.
🛠 Clip-On Installation – No tools required! Just snap it onto the Z-axis lead screws.

⚠ Important Usage Notes
1️⃣ Manually Move the Print Plate Before Use (through the controller, not turning the leadscrew)
- Before using the Leadscrew Cleaner, manually move the print plate up and down (through the controller, not turning the leadscrew) to ensure smooth motion.
- Most 3D printers require homing after manual movement, but during homing, the print plate moves to the top. This could cause the Leadscrew Cleaner to hit the upper limit, potentially leading to pulley misalignment (belt skipping) and requiring recalibration.
2️⃣ Avoid Excessive Resistance
- The Z-axis is driven by stepper motors with limited torque.
- If the cloth inside the Leadscrew Cleaner is too thick, it will increase resistance, making it difficult for the stepper motors to move all six cleaners simultaneously.
- Use a thin, absorbent cloth or tissue to ensure smooth operation.
3️⃣ Prevent Collisions with Hard Stops
- Avoid hitting the upper and lower limits of the printer’s Z-axis.
- If the Leadscrew Cleaner collides with the top or bottom, it could cause the pulley to skip teeth, requiring belt realignment and printer recalibration.
Why Use the Leadscrew Cleaner?
