Description

Adapted from tsubs.n's excellent print-in-place rotary counter, this version features two dials; one with 5+1 positions to indicate the last person (or item), and one with 7+1 positions labeled for the days of the week. The knobs have improved action and a knurled finish as well, with a satisfying click

All text is customizable in Bambu Studio (except for the days of the week), so in addition to a litterbox tracker it can be used for keeping track of medications, watering plants, cleaning tasks, or anything else. Refer to instructions below for help customizing. The source Fusion model is included in the downloads, to make modifying and remixing even easier.

I have also uploaded a single-knob version! Rotary Day of the Week Chore Tracker

The base features 5mm holes underneath for gluing in magnets if desired.

Customization Help

To customize the model's text, begin by opening the 3MF file in Bambu Studio (sadly this cannot be done in the Bambu Handy mobile app).

First, switch the Process to Objects in the left panel (just below the filaments). You will see a list of all the individual parts of the model. Right-click the name of the text you wish to edit, and select Edit Text. You can then change the text, font, size, and position however you like. When finished, click outside the text editing panel. When you've edited all of the texts you wish to edit, go ahead and click Print plate!

Printing Notes

The knobs might be a little bit “stuck” when they first come off the plate. Give it a little grunt and they should pop and turn free.

I've only tested the design with PLA, but it should work perfectly fine (and maybe click a little better) in PETG or other materials.

Doesn't require any grease or lubrication, but you're free to experiment with some if you want it to turn a little smoother.
