Reclining Stand for iPad – IKEA Poäng Chair

I present this iPad stand model, born from a very personal need. I needed a solution that would allow me to comfortably watch content while lying in bed, without having to hold the iPad in my hand or tilt it awkwardly.

ITEM DESCRIPTION:

The model is designed to be easily attached and detached if necessary via a sliding hook.

The chair/armchair on which the model was developed is the:

• POÄNG Armchair, birch veneer/Knisa

But the fairly wide base has also been designed to rest on horizontal surfaces and still allow viewing while lying in bed.

DIMENSIONS:

• 8cm x 15cm x 17cm
• 60° inclination that takes into account the chair armrest inclination of approximately 5°, thus a total inclination of 55° with respect to the viewing position

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

The stand is designed to hold a 10th generation iPad AIR

• It can be easily attached to the chair handle by sliding the two parts together around the handle
• It features a hole in the part designed to accommodate the device, useful for charging it even during use
• I recommend locking the rotation to prevent the image or content from rotating vertically during viewing :)

With great dedication, I designed this stand using a 3D modeling program. It is designed to be easily attached and detached, offering stability and practicality. This model is the result of a series of attempts and adjustments: each version helped improve the design, until I obtained what I consider the ideal solution.
