Driven by admiration for Polaroid's iconic instant camera design, I recreated a tissue box based on the Polaroid Now+ Gen3 model. When I first printed this creation, I was captivated by Polaroid's timeless aesthetic—it truly stands the test of time.
Design Innovations:
- Two Custom Tissue Extraction Methods:
- Front-Opening Dispenser: Mimics the camera's classic shutter mechanism for dramatic tissue dispensing.
- Top-Opening Slot: Traditional yet efficient, designed for effortless tissue access.
Performance Testing:
Both mechanisms function flawlessly, but I recommend the top-opening design for its smoother tissue extraction and user-friendly experience.

Assembly & Printing Instructions
Rainbow Icon Construction
- The first print layer features the classic rainbow icon. Due to its multi-color design, this component requires multi-part printing with 5 distinct colors.
- Print each color layer sequentially while hiding one color channel at a time, then carefully bond the layers using the provided alignment guide.
Critical Note:
- Strictly match your filament colors to the reference image—deviations will compromise the rainbow effect.
- Assemble in this order: Red → Orange → Yellow → Green → Blue using precision adhesive at the designated bonding points only.
Mechanical Assembly
- The main body requires no glue except for the rainbow icon joint. All other components snap-fit securely.
- Front/back cover alignment uses 5mm x 3mm round magnets for seamless magnetic closure. Purchase these separately for proper functionality.
