Description
The Official Hat Chair derives its name from its resemblance to the official hats worn by ancient Chinese officials. There are two types: the Southern Official Hat Chair and the Four-Out-Head Official Hat Chair; this model is the latter.
Of course, the Official Hat Chair isn't actually for hanging hats. Its form had largely solidified by the Song Dynasty (960-1276 AD). Many are aware that Song Dynasty “official hats” were high at the back and low at the front, very similar in profile to the Official Hat Chair, hence the name.
