Description

Not a functional gun. Bears only a resemble to any real firearm. Internals and measurements do not match an actual firearm. Can not be fired.

Update: Display stand available here

My version of the Auto 9 Pistol from the 1987 movie Robocop. It is based on photos of the screen used props and references images of the base gun.

The model is divided into logical parts and does not require glue for assembly though glue will help for strength in some places. This allows for easier prep for sanding and painting. Real hardware such as screws and springs is needed for assembly.

Assembly is mostly straight forward. The slide must installed before the barrel. The barrel base is place into the main frame from top and the rear barrel then slides into it. The barrel surround is then installed to hold the rear barrel in place with the front barrel and joiner pieces installed in the front of the barrel surround.

The trickiest part of the build is the magazine release which requires all debris to be cleared from it's path. Also it needs to be held in place with the grip. So they must be installed one after the other.

I will work on a detailed assembly video but wanted to release the files now since they are finished enough for release.

Assembly Video:

Hardware Required:

3 - M3 x 4mm Socket Head Bolts (Bottom detail of Barrel surround and rear sight)

3 - M2 x 6mm Socket Head Bolts (Sight Rail)

1 - M5 x 16mm Socket Head Bolt (Secures barrel surround onto main frame)

4 - M4 x 5mm Pan Head Bolts (Secures grip to main frame)

2 - 5mm x 30mm Springs (Hammer and Magazine Release)

1 - 6mm x 30mm Spring (Trigger)

Recoil Spring

1 - 12mmx60mm Spring OR 2 - 12mmx35mm springs OR 3 - 6mmx30mm springs

All will work. 6mm spring will be the cheapest option but won't be as strong as a 12mm spring. I found 35mm springs quite easily on Amazon.
