Mini Bento box for Bambu Lab X1C P1P and Voron V0.2

NOTE:

• Download the 3mf file if you are using a Bambu slicer. Download the stl if you are using other slicers.
• I do my best to double-check and test the print profiles I created. Therefore, I will only take feedback and update for those profiles. I cannot vouch for profiles uploaded by others, so please do due diligence.

I believe in working with local small businesses when selecting regional vendors. INTRODUCTION

In September 2022, I designed the BentoBox air scrubber for the X1C and enclosed P1P (such as ARC) to be used for printing ABS. This helps to reduce the fumes and VOCs build up within the enclosure. When I decided to build the Voron V0.2, I needed a BentoBox with a smaller form factor. Not an easy project due to the limited space within the V0,2 chamber. It has to be small, powerful and visually pleasing.

Meet Bento mini. Small in size, powerful, and looks like a little bento for kids. The front dimension is the same as an iPhone 10. It uses a strong 6028 blower fan to push air thru the carbon pellets. There are 4 mounting holes where brackets can be customized for different enclosed printers.

What Does the Bento mini do?

It is an activated carbon air scrubber housed within an enclosed printer. By cycling air thru activated carbon pellets within the chamber, it helps to reduce fumes and VOCs when printing filaments such as ABS, ASA and Nylon. This method of filtering air within an enclosure is called multi-pass which results in better filtration.

What Advantages does it have over others?

• Bento mini uses a more powerful fan (6028 vs 5015) which allows it to push air thru the pellets more efficiently.
• When installed, it collects the hot air from the top and exhausts it at the bottom. This allows proper air convection current which helps maintain a steady enclosure temperature.
• it is cuter.

I bought the 24V Dual Ball Bearings 6028 fans from GDStime on Aliexpress.

Order 5V if you intend to use a standalone power supply. Order a 24V if you intend to use the printer's PSU

• The 3mf file is prepared in OrcaSlicer in a multi-plate project style, it can only be opened with OrcaSlicer or Bembu Slicer.
• The STL files are available in a folder if you require them.
